Dear Colleagues in Dermatology:
I am excited to announce that the second annual meeting of Advances in Cosmetic and Medical Dermatology/Hawaii 2006 will be held
at the elegant deluxe Grand Wailea Resort & Spa in Wailea, Maui between Sunday, February 5th and Friday, February 10th.
Registration for attendees is Saturday, February 4th.
Our first meeting this past January 22-28 was a resounding success. ACMD kept its promise to create a meeting "for dermatologists
passionate about learning". Our speakers delivered lectures, conducted panel discussions and led workshops of the highest caliber.
Industry sponsors and exhibitors expressed pleasure with the set-up and much satisfaction with the meeting's content. Many attendees
stated that the meeting fulfilled their highest expectations.
Look for many of the lectures to be published in the upcoming issues of the peer reviewed and indexed Skin Med Journal as
well as featured on the internet at MDlive.net and cme.md.
What's New In ACMD 2006 ?
Our Scientific Advisory Board has focused on this upcoming year's meeting to include: more panel discussions formatted to be highly
interactive with extended time for Q & A . There will be more case based presentations with adequate time to cover
the subject material in depth in contrast to the standard meeting's revolving door of speakers. We have also changed the
format of the meeting. Sunday through Tuesday will be devoted to Medical Dermatology. Topics in Practice Management will be
covered on Wednesday. Thursday and Friday will be devoted to topics in Cosmetic Dermatology. As always, our workshops will
consist of small "hands-on" interactive groups and taught by individuals universally recognized as leaders in their respective field.
New for this year, we have chosen to honor those individuals who have made a difference in the field of dermatology and impacted our
practice and the lives of our patients with the "ACMD Scientific Achievement Award". You will have the opportunity to hear these
individuals recount the challenges they faced along their road to discovery.
We are aware that there are many meetings to choose from and each one has different features. However, it is our hope that the
ACMD meeting will cover many of the important and necessary features needed in your practice.
I look forward to meeting each of you next February 4-10,2006 on Maui for an incredible educational event. Warmest Aloha!
Sincerely,

George Martin, M.D.
